Mylene B.

OTR-L,/ Clinical Director, Certified Early Intervention Specialist

Mylene’s passion for working with infants for almost two decades drove her to start Shining Star Therapy. Mylene is a Registered Occupational Therapist, a Certified Early Intervention Specialist, is Multi-state licensed, and holds multiple Bachelor of Science degrees in Occupational Therapy and Anatomy from McGill University. She worked at six different care centers, clinics, and early intervention facilities before starting Shining Star Therapy in 2007. She provides evaluation and treatment programs for infants / toddlers with Developmental Delay, Neurological, PDD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Orthopedic issues, Seizure Disorders, Erbs Palsy, and much more. As a Shining Star Executive, Mylene oversees the day-to-day care and career development of the Shining Star Therapists.

Brian B.

Founder / Chief Operating Officer

Brian’s role as Founder / Chief Operating Officer allows him to focus on company operations, financial goals that include planning, problem-solving capabilities, human capital development, process  improvement, recruiting, human resources, early intervention regulatory compliance, marketing, electronic medical record communications, and business intelligence within the organization.  Brian has more than a decade’s experience of working as a leader in the higher education industry.  As an executive, he has led start-ups in higher education in some of the largest institutions in the United Staes.  His success has led him to lead in the following sectors and departments; Healthcare, I.T. and business colleges operations, admissions, recruiting, academic advising, career services, and has managed multiple teams of more than 100 strong, across six regions in 19 states with a revenue of more than $60 million.

Brian’s success has led him to the Pentagon, where he secured multiple contracts with the Department of Defense and Department of Veteran Affairs.  He decided to transition out of corporate work to devote his time to Shining Star Therapy so he could focus his talent and skills in a way that serves the special needs of infants, toddlers, and children.  He served as a Non-Commissioned Officer for 10 years in the U. S. Army and is now a Veteran, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Warner Southern University.

Dianne T.

Business Operations Manager

Dianne brings 10+ years of experience as a Therapy Business Operations Manager to the Shining Star team. She has worked with all levels of management in a variety of environments, from real estate to healthcare.   As a highly organized office manager and human resource manager, she has experience in all aspects of medical office policies and procedures including processing, verifying, and maintaining personnel related documentation.  Dianne has an in depth knowledge of insurance claim processing and claim resolution.  Proud to be a team player in a fast paced office.

Marla K.

Business Operations Assistant

Marla brings 30 years of experience as an executive support professional to the Shining Star team. She has worked with all levels of management in a variety of environments, from research to publishing to healthcare. In her most recent position, she worked for a national firm dedicated to improving the financial, operational and strategic performances of healthcare providers. Marla’s range of organizational and administration skills are a perfect fit for our continually growing organization!
